Burial of Ashes (Interment)

Burying your loved one’s ashes is a popular alternative to scattering their ashes.

Many families find comfort in having a permanent resting place for their loved one, that they can visit on special occasions and important anniversaries, or to simply have somewhere to visit when they want to feel close to their loved one.

This service is separate to the Funeral/Cremation service and can take place on a day and time of your choosing (subject to availability).

We can help you in making the arrangements for the Interment of Ashes or guide you through the process if you would prefer to arrange it yourself.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Where would you like the Interment to take place? Options include a new or pre-existing grave, a local cemetery or Garden of Remembrance, a natural or woodland memorial park, private land or even your own garden.
  • If you have a dedicated family grave plot, do you have the relevant paperwork and deeds?
  • Is there space in the existing plot?
  • When would you like the Interment to be held – is there a special or significant date you may want to consider?
  • Who would you like to attend? Would it be immediate family only, or a larger ceremony involving family and friends?
  • Would you like a Minister or Celebrant to be present?
  • Would you like a Funeral Director to attend?
