Typically, a Direct Cremation takes place without a formal funeral service, mourners, or a procession. However, there are variations available, such as our Attended Direct Cremation.
Many families then choose to hold a wake at a later date, when perhaps more family and friends are able to get together to remember and celebrate the life of their loved one
With our Direct Cremation Funerals, we maintain the same high level of care and professionalism as with all of our Funerals.
Your loved one will be treated with dignity throughout, from their arrival at our local Funeral Home, to your visit in our peaceful Chapel of Rest, and on their final journey in our Hearse to the Crematorium.
Your dedicated Funeral Director will look after all the arrangements, including the completion and submission of all necessary paperwork.

Unattended Direct Cremation Funeral
Our Unattended Direct Cremation Funerals provide a modern, affordable alternative to a traditional funeral service.
With this straightforward option, your loved one is cremated without a formal ceremony or service, and mourners will not be present.
- The cremation will always take place locally, with the date, time, and location predetermined.
- We will prepare and care for your loved one, dressing them in their own clothing, and you are welcome to visit them in our Chapel of Rest.
- We will carry your loved one in our hearse on their final journey, accompanied by a Funeral Director.
- An Online Tribute and Donation page can be created for your loved one through MuchLoved.
- We will collect your loved one’s ashes from the crematorium and store them in safekeeping at our Funeral Home until they are collected by the applicant.
Please note that floral tributes, alternative coffins, and the choice of crematorium can be included for an additional charge.
Attended Direct Cremation Funeral
Our Attended Direct Cremation Funeral serves as a low-cost and modern alternative to a traditional funeral service.
This simpler option allows family and friends to attend the cremation without a formal service.
- The cremation will always take place locally, with the date, time, and location predetermined.
- Mourners are welcome to attend at the Crematorium.
- We will prepare and care for your loved one, dressing them in their own clothing, and you are welcome to visit them in our Chapel of Rest.
- We will carry your loved one in our hearse on their final journey, accompanied by a Funeral Director.
- An Online Tribute and Donation page can be created for your loved one through MuchLoved.
- We will collect your loved one’s ashes from the crematorium and store them in safekeeping at our Funeral Home until they are collected by the applicant.
