Beauty Banks – working to end hygiene poverty

Beauty Banks is a UK charity working to end hygiene poverty by getting essential personal care and hygiene products into the hands of people who need them.

Through its nationwide network of charity partners, including food banks, domestic abuse services, homeless shelters, NHS organisations, schools and organisations supporting care leavers, Beauty Banks distributes toiletries to adults and children experiencing poverty.

Since 2018, the charity has worked to ensure that a lack of access to everyday hygiene essentials does not prevent people from participating fully in education, work and everyday life.

Financial donations enable Beauty Banks to purchase essential products, store donations and distribute them to communities across the UK, including the North West.

Access to basics like shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and period products is about much more than being clean. It’s about dignity, confidence and being able to face the day feeling like yourself.

If you’d like to learn more about Beauty Banks, please visit our website at www.beautybanks.org.uk or follow us on Instagram and Facebook. To support our mission you can make a donation or contact us directly via info@beautybanks.org.uk.

We are delighted that our sister company – Jonathan Alcocks and Sons Ltd has chosen to support our charity with their upcoming Christmas Wreath Making Workshop.
