Media Services For Funerals

Saying goodbye is deeply personal, and today’s media services offer thoughtful ways to honour and remember a loved one’s life.

From visual tributes and live streaming to professional photography and service recordings, these options can help create a meaningful and inclusive farewell.

Whether you want to share memories through images and music, enable distant friends and family to be part of the service, or preserve the day as a lasting keepsake, media services can add a powerful and comforting dimension to the ceremony.

Visual Tributes, Live Streaming, Service Recording, and Funeral Photography

The inclusion of visual tributes, live streaming, and service recording is growing in demand. There are a number of audio and visual specialists that deliver a professional and high-quality service so you can create a truly personal and unique ceremony for your loved one.

Visual Tributes (slideshow)

A Visual Tribute is a heartfelt slideshow memorial that showcases a collection of photos celebrating the life of the deceased. These images can capture significant moments from your loved one’s life and include cherished family and friends. During the service, these photographs are displayed on a large screen in the church or crematorium, often accompanied by music, creating a powerful and peaceful moment of reflection.

Webcasts (live streaming/broadcasts) and Service Recording

Not everyone can attend a funeral in person, but there are now ways for those loved ones to be part of the service, without having to leave their home. Ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to express their farewells and pay their respects.

Live Streaming of the Funeral

For friends or relatives unable to join in person, live streaming allows them to participate in the service from afar. A live feed can be established to broadcast the entire funeral service in real-time, enabling mourners to connect via their computer, smartphone, or other digital devices.

Service Recording

A professionally edited version of the recorded service can be shared via email or USB, allowing family and friends to watch it at their convenience or to have as a precious keepsake.

Keepsakes

You can turn your Visual Tribute and Service Recording into a personal keepsake. Most suppliers offer a professionally edited video in a range of formats for you to cherish forever.

Suppliers and Fees

Many Crematoriums (and some Churches) offer their own Live Streaming and Tribute Services; costs and availability vary, so please speak with your Funeral Director for further details.

Funeral Photography

While Funeral Photography may still be a lesser-known service available to families, it can offer great comfort by preserving these meaningful moments.

Funeral Photography can gently and sensitively document the people, places and emotions of this significant occasion. Discreetly capturing moments such as the arrival of the cortege, the funeral setting, spoken tributes, and many natural and heartfelt interactions that take place throughout the service.

We work with Andy from Overleaf Media, who specialises in discreet, compassionate, and professional funeral photography and videography.
