I’m Amanda and I own Daisy Imprints, where I handmake custom print jewellery with love.

I set up my silver charm making business in May 2008 as a single mum to three young children. Having worked as an HR Manager and being involved in new business start-ups I decided to set up on my own to create the work life balance I needed as a single mum.

I trained at The PMC Studio in London and took the plunge to set up on my own from my family home in Cheadle where I had grown up! I had the support of a very good friend, Rebecca, who is a very talented silversmith, and she still does all my soldering work and makes my bespoke necklaces, bracelets and bangles once I have completed my charms. Initially I just took fingerprints but my range soon grew as demand increased to include; handprints, footprints, animal prints and handwriting charms.

I loved the idea of providing my charms to local families however within weeks the orders were coming in from across the Northwest and I travelled to the majority of appointments. Over the years, and as my range increased, I have sent charms throughout the UK and even overseas to America and Australia!

My work practises changed as my family grew and with the addition of my youngest in 2012 I reduced my travel and the majority of my appointments were at my home. I started attending local markets and I still love meeting new customers at these events. The Pandemic created a whole new way of working for me and in 2020 my eldest completed an overhaul of my website creating my online store!

My work has moved in many directions and I feel privileged to take prints from people who have passed away to be able to make charms for their families to treasure. I have taken prints at Francis House Children’s Hospice and other local hospices on many occasions and have worked closely with several local Funeral Directors, non-more so than Jonathan Alcock & Sons Ltd in Cheadle.
