National Grief Awareness Week – Wednesday 2nd – Tuesday 8th December 2026

Event: National Grief Awareness Week

Date: Wednesday 2nd – Tuesday 8th December

National Grief Awareness Week is an annual initiative established by The Good Grief Trust.

This campaign takes place each year in early December, with the aim of normalising discussions about grief, reducing the stigma surrounding bereavement, and connecting individuals with accessible support.

During this week, consider the following:

  • Share your personal experiences
  • Practice empathy towards others
  • Learn how to support those coping with loss
  • Discover resources for seeking support for yourself

We recognise that the festive season can be especially challenging for those who are grieving. Please remember to be gentle with yourselves and reach out for support if needed.
