Price Guides

The cost of a Funeral depends on the choices you make, which may include the type of coffin, whether you have a Cremation or Burial, the location and timing of the service, and the transportation selected.

Funeral costs are generally categorised into three main areas;

  • Funeral Directors Fees – This encompasses all arrangements in connection with the Funeral, including advice and support, the transfer of the deceased to our Funeral Home during office hours, provision of Hearse and Bearers, Cortege from a family home or an alternative address, staff cars, and Funeral Director’s services. Additionally, it covers attending to all neccessary documentation, care of the deceased, use of the Chapel of Rest and embalming if required.
  • Additional Options –  This includes extras, such as additional Limousines and Order of Service booklets.
  • Third Party Costs (also known as Disbursements) – These are expenses like the Cremation or Burial fees, Church fees, Minister or Celebrants’ fees, Floral Tributes, and Musician fees.

All Funeral Directors are legally required to publish a Standardised Price List, that details the set prices for our products and services. This transparency allows you to explore the options and compare with other Funeral Directors.

As a family-owned and independent Funeral Director, we pride ourselves on being open and honest about our pricing and are more than willing to discuss them with you, or provide a personalised Funeral Estimate tailored to your specific needs.

Linked below are the Funeral Options we offer, including our Standardised Price List, our Direct Cremation Funerals and our Bespoke Funerals.

Our Direct Cremation Funerals are affordable, modern alternatives to traditional Cremation Funeral Services.

Our Bespoke Funerals are tailored to fit your individual needs, we will work with you to create a meaningful service that honours the life and memory of your loved one.

Lowering the costs
During your arrangement meeting if you feel like the Funeral costs are more than you’d budgeted for, please tell your Funeral Director. We can look for changes that can be made to the arrangements to help keep costs down. We know that the financial burden can be an added stress at this time so please don’t hesitate to speak to your Funeral Director about this.

Department of Work and Pensions (DWP)
Some families can seek financial support from the DWP to help with funeral costs, if you claim certain benefits.  The DWP has a Bereavement Service helpline that you can call on 0800 151 2012, Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm.

Depending on your circumstances you could receive help in paying for Cremation fees and funds towards the Funeral expenses including the Funeral Directors fees.
